Why invest in our motherhood photo sessions?
We miss so much in our daily lives, as we rush through the day, trying to keep up with the never ending tasks. We snap photos on our phone to send to adoring relatives of our little ones, we as mothers, are rarely in them. Sometimes we just need to slow down a little, take in the smell of our baby as we wonder through the woods, watch as their feet kick at the ground, not worrying about the dirt and how much we need to clean, for now. We don’t stop to really notice just how small their fingers are, or how adorable their chubby legs and long eyelashes are. And realise, they will never be this small again. These memories, of how their fingers grasp, how their legs kick, how their eyes look in awe, at the world, and at you, need to be preserved. The story of the unbreakable connection, of a mother and her baby, can be told in photographs, as a timeless reminder of the most wild, and wonderful time of our lives.
What happens during the session?
Sessions are child led, meaning you don't need to worry about them getting bored or cranky, and there can be plenty of stops for feeds and snacks. The child/ren are encouraged to play, and you are encouraged to join in, therefor I can capture natural moments of connection and joy. We can have a chat beforehand, either over the phone or over email, and I can find out about you all to make it a more tailored experience to you as a family.
The sessions are not posed based, so no need to get your children to stay still and smile for the camera, there will just be some gentle guidance from me (eg. we'll go further over this way for better light etc).
